  1. Our measurement and control peripherals, including SDMs, multiplexers, and Terminal Input Modules (TIMs), expand the measurement and control capabilities of the data logger.

  2. CDM refers to Campbell Distributed Module. A CDM expands the measurement capability of a data logger by adding additional channels, controls, or measurement types. 

  3. SDM refers to Synchronous Device for Measurement. SDMs expand digital control ports, analog output ports, and measurement capabilities. They are addressable devices, allowing more than one to be connected to a data logger at the same time.

  4. A multiplexer allows switched excitation channels and analog inputs to be shared. By using one channel to measure multiple sensors, the number of sensors that can be measured increases.

  5. Compared to SDM devices, CDM devices can operate at much higher speeds and with cable lengths that are much longer.
