Communicating with a CR10X

Hook Aug 13, 2011 05:34 PM

Hi,

I'm new to Campbell Scientific data loggers.
I have an CR10X that I want to talk to, but I don't have the $$ right now to get a SC32B or SC929.
Is there any alteratives to making a connection with my laptop?? SC929 schematic??

Thanks

The description of the CSI/O port is in section 6 of the CR10X manual. It is enough information that someone with experience making RS232 circuits could make an interface. Proceed at your own risk.

Campbell Scientific only supports communication using interfaces we manufacture.

The SC32B is an optically isolated interface.
Non-isolated interfaces can cause ground offset errors to analog measurements when connecting a PC.
