I'm having some issues with two SDI-12 sensors hooked up to a CR206. One sensor is a CS408 (the old Pressure Systems 500 Series that CSI used to sell) and the other is a Sentek EasyAg Soil Moisture Content probe. The cable run to the CS408 is about 100 ft and a separate cable run to the EasyAg is about 50 ft. This setup used to work fine (and even with an additional 4 sensors hooked up to the SDI-12 bus), but this time when I re-installed the system, I'm having problems.
When the CS408 is hooked up by itself, it works fine. When I add the EasyAg to the bus, only the EasyAg works. They are each uniquely addressed and I think I've checked everything that might cause problems. Any ideas?

You can try connecting to the CR206 opening up a terminal emulator. Set up the com port for 9600 baud and no flow control.
In the terminal hit 'Enter' until you receive a prompt like
CR2XX>
at the prompt type 'SDI12' and hit enter. You can now query the SDI-12 sensors manually using aM!, where a is the address of the sensor. Check to make sure both sensors are responding to the M! command. After the sensor responds you can use the aD! command to retrieve data from the sensor.
Thanks for the response Ken. I solved the problem by replacing all cables. Some of the cables were older, and even though they were not damaged, I'm assuming that due to the longer cable runs and physical state of the cables that there was just enough signal loss that it prevented both instruments from working at the same time.
