Status Monitor

PPeters May 3, 2011 01:24 AM

I have LoggerNet 4.1 installed on a Laptop with difficulty enabling the new custom views on the status monitor screen

I dont seem to have the "views" tab available at the bottom of the screen

we also have loggernetAdmin 4 for our main telemetry and this has the "views" button

Is this actually available on the standard install?
I migrated my site tree via a backup onto the 4.1 platform will this have had an effect?

any help much appreciated

cheers

The ability to create custom views is available in LoggerNet Admin only. The standard LoggerNet has only the Network view or the Stations view.

There shouldn't be any problem with using the network from the admin version. The views you created in LoggerNet Admin will be available to select, but you won't be able to add or modify views.

Thanks Dana for the clarification
The notes in the loggernet Manual, preface XVI clearly states that this is a new feature now available to Loggernet which created my confusion..might be worth correcting..

Does CSI have any intention of making this available to the standard LoggerNet install in the future? It seems a useful tool when dealing with a larger networks

thanks

It looks like the manual is incorrect -- I'll get that posted so we can get it fixed.

LoggerNet Admin was designed specifically for working with large networks. It has features that are not available in the regular LoggerNet. The custom views are one of those features. Right now, I don't think there are any plans to roll this back into LoggerNet.
