I just returned from a remote fieldsite where I mistakenly left a null modem adapter inline between a Freewave Radio and a SC932A that is connected to a CS IO port on a CR1000. I use the RS232 port on the logger for other tasks. I can not make a telemetry connection now to the CR1000 (likely because of the null modem adapter?).
Does anyone know any tricks to get around this problem without a site visit to remove the null modem adapter? I would be connecting in Loggernet via a chain of other Freewave radios, all at 9600 baud. I can connect to and see the radio no problem but can not get to the logger.
Any suggestions are very much appreciated!
Ouch; I hate when that happens. I can't think of anything to help. The null modem swaps transmit and receive, so the radio is transmitting to a driver and listening to a voltage-sensing circuit. Your site is probably nowhere near where we'll be going in the next week, but I suspect it'll require a site visit.
