Telecommunciation setup with CR1000

Hi

I have a few questions if you do not mind..

(1) For a telecommunciation setup being attempted for a concrete box girder bridge with embedded vibrating wire gauges (since 1988), what is the necessary set-up required?...

The orginal equipment that we had acquired was a CR10x, AVW1 and am16/32 multiplexers with the following telecommunication equipment;

TC35T Siemens Dual Band GSM Signal transceiver
GSM-ANT 2 low-cost Dual Band GSM Antenna
SC932C compact 9-pin to 25-way RS232 DCE interface
TC35T cable for connecting Siemens TC35T to SC932C

SOP18 18W Solar Panel (Shunt reg & Brkt) Standard 5 met
URS1 Unaspirated radiation shield.

We were unable to get the CR10x working for us, so we have now switched to a CR1000 with a AVW200 vibrating wire interface..

(2) Will this equipment still work for us?.. Also is there any other piece of equipment that would be required?..

(3)For the grounding on-site, we plan on using a copper coated grounding rod to connect to the grounding lug.. Would this suffice?..

(4)Is the programming difficult for this set-up?.. We have a program developed that is working for us on another project (same set-up but newer embedded wire gauges in the concrete beams of a recently constructed building), what would be required to alter this program to incorporate a wireless telecommunications setup?..

If you could take the time to answer any of these questions I would be very grateful..
