RF communication

dmucino Jan 7, 2011 05:10 PM

Hi.
Somebody knows how to connect with a remote station which has a RF401 Modem though other station which has NL115 and a RF401 Modem.

The idea it´s easy, to connect via IP with the second station but ask for the firt station via RF,

PC--->IP Station NL115---> IP Station RF401---> RF401 Station

Thanks

Suggest you try the network planner tool in Loggernet 4.

David,

Did you resolve your problem? Did you use Network Planner, and if so was it easy to use?

If you are still stuck, this is easy when work from the factory defaults.

1) Connect to each device (Loggers and RF401s) using Device Configuration Utility and restore them to factory defaults.

2) Assign a unique PakBus address to each logger

3) Connect the RF401 to the CSI/O port of the datalogger.

4) Make the CR1000 a PakBus router by toggling the "Is Router" setting to YES/TRUE. You can find this setting on the Advanced tab in Dev Config.

5) Connect the CR1000 to the IP network and make sure it has an IP/connection

6) Configure the LoggerNet server using the Setup Tool. You will need LoggerNet or LoggerNet admin for this network setup. IP Root -> PakBus Port -> CR1000 -> (RF401 Station)
