LoggerNet network backup

Hello!

Is there any way to merge different network backups into one network tree? Normaly your existing network is overwritten when you restore the network backup.

Hello Asulv,

Not directly, but you can copy network branches to a text editor then paste them back into your setup. From the LN Setup Help: "Device branches can be copied by selecting the top device in the branch and pressing Shift-Ctrl-C, then pressing Ctrl-V at the position you wish the branch to be copied to. Note that when pasting a root device, you must have a root device selected in your network. The root device being pasted will be inserted in your network below the selected root device."

So, restore Network A, use Shift-Ctrl-C / Ctrl-V to copy the branches of the network to a text editor. Restore Network B, again use Shift-Ctrl-C / Ctrl-V to copy to the same file in the text editor. After you have all the separate networks and branches copied to the text file do a Ctrl-A (select all) Ctrl-C (copy). Now go back to LN Setup with a blank map and Ctrl-V (paste).

It isn't nearly as complicated as it sounds typed out. Let us know if you have other questions.
