I recently switched out a CDMA Raven with a GSM Raven for a 17 datalogger PakBus network that I have. I'm now experiencing a large decrease in RF quality. Does GSM (vs CDMA) have the potential to cause more interference with the 900 MHz frequencies that the RF401 and CR206's use?
The new GSM Raven tells me that it is using channel 219 or 221 which would correspond to the GSM850 band. Could this be the cause of the interference?
The network consists of a CR10X-PB acting as router connected to an RF401 and the Raven. The rest of the dataloggers are CR206s linked to the CR10X-PB via the RF401. I only have consistent communication with three of the CR206s that are closest to the base station. When I am able to connect to the more remote loggers, I get a RFSignalLevel of 60+, but the connection is intermittent.
Any assistance in troubleshooting the problem would be appreciated. The only change made to the network was swapping the CDMA Raven for a GSM version. Everything else stayed the same and prior to the change the network was functioning perfectly.
Thanks.
