Transfer Loggernet Network Map

dfunke King County Nov 8, 2010 10:17 PM

We acquire data from about 50 dataloggers mostly through IP ports using Loggernet 3.4 on a desktop connected to a corporate network. I am going to transfer the scheduled downloading to another machine on the network that has Loggernet/Admin 3.4 installed. Can I do a network backup of my existing network map and setups and restore to the new machine and expect that the setup will transfer?

Go to LoggerNet's Setup window and choose Tools | Backup network. This procedure will create a *.bkp file that can then be used on the new computer with Restore Network.

You'll likely want to include the data cache (the binary database of collected data, which is 2X the size of the table in the datalogger) and the initialization files. You can also add files such as data files, program files, etc.
