Cr1000/Cr800 setting remote security

newtoLoggernet4 Oct 7, 2010 04:19 PM

Hello,

We have a large number of modem enabled loggers and I am looking to lock remote data download from them without going out to site or interfering with the program (no security coding in the program to date)

Is it possible to set security through remote access by connecting, then under table monitor drop down box select Status table and set the fields Security(1),(2),(3) (using loggernet 4)

then under my setup screen hardware tab set Security code?

please let me know if this is the best option
(ideally no site vist to logger , or resetting of logger)

Thanks

This can be done using the PakBusGraph client in LoggerNet. Open the utility and select the PakBusPort(s) that service the loggers you want to change. Find the icon for the datalogger and click the right mouse button over it. From the resulting context menu, choose "Edit Settings". In the resulting dialog, you will be able to set all three security codes for the datalogger.
