using Split to make .asc files readable for toa_to_tob1

jm321 Sep 21, 2010 09:57 PM

I'm trying to use SPLIT to add headers and timestamp to .asc so that they can be read by toa_to_tob1.exe to convert them into binary files that can then be processes by EdiRe.

(This was discussed on page 2 of this thread: http://www.campbellsci.com/forum/messages.cfm?threadid=C53691F1-9F9A-700E-A3941D63048E27E5&page=2

Does anyon know how I can get Split to create the appropriate headers and timestamp? I've added headers in the "Report and Column Headigs" field, but the headings do not appear in the PNR output files.

Thanks in advance for your help,
John

Headers aren't included in PRN files, just RPT files.

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately, the RPT output files can't be read by toa_to_tob1 either.

When I try to run toa_to_tob1, I get the message "Processing error: "cannot open file"

This also occurs when I change the .PRN to .DAT extension.

Is it possible to use Split to turn an ASC file into an RPT file that toa_to_tob1 can process?

Now I'm getting this error message when I try to run toa_to_tob1: "Processing error: "corrupt file""
