RTCM Pro graph update problem

KimR Jul 21, 2010 11:13 PM

We use RTCM Pro to present data from a wave rider buoy. Data are presented both graphically (time series charts) as well as on tabular form.

The data from the buoy are formatted to match the TOA5 format, and the tabbed RTCM Pro pages are presented on the WEB using RTCM Web Server. This has worked fine for some time.

We use RTCM Pro and Web Server version 3.0.1.24

However, during the last days, we have noticed, that even though the tabular data are updated in RTCM Pro (and on the web), the graphs are not updated – despite that the data source is the same.

I wonder if anybody has experienced the same

Hi Kim,
RTMCPro retrieves the data to display from cache memory in your Loggernet PC. If something changed, you uploaded a new program or something, that cache can be erased and you basically start over reading the data from the cache. I can't explain why you have the tabular data and not the graphs. One of the neat features of RTMCPro 3.1 is that you can read the data from the .dat files instead of the cache, eliminating this sort of issue.
Good Luck,
IslandMan

I think we're seeing the same thing...

Using tablemon, we can look at the LoggerNet cache, and see that data for the problematic station is up to date in the "Logged with Holes", and "Logged without Holes" Ordering options, but very out of date when ordering with "Collected".

The RTMC graph is showing the data in the "Collected" ordering.

.dat files are up to date.

What is the cause of this, and how can we rectify the situation? We would like to avoid at all costs resetting the cache of the station.
