I'm trying to send a new program to a CR206 via GPRS modem and I get this error when I try to send the program: CR2compv07.exe. I have restarted LoggerNet (as it sometimes hangs up) and have the same error when trying to send the program. We also have CR10X's and CR1000's on the same network (RF401's and GPRS modems) and have not had a problem sending programs to them. This is the first time having to send the program over the network to a 206. I compiled the program in CRBasic with no apparent errors.
Are you really trying to send CR2comV07.exe to the datalogger, not a file with a .CR2 suffix? Perhaps you get that name mentioned in a message saying the relevant compiler is not present or cannot be found?
For the CR200 you need to have a compiler program on your PC to match the operating system of the datalogger you are trying to load the program to (as the program is compiled on the PC and a compiled version is sent to the logger). The ..V07.exe name matches OS version 7. If that is the operating system in the logger then it is likely the compiler is missing or corrupt. Someone in your local CSI office should be able to send you a replacement.
I realized I didn't have the right version of the compiler after I posted. However, I can't seem to find version 7 on my machines. I have version 5, 8 and 9. Can you send me version 7? I couldn't find any of the older OS in the downloads.
I put a copy, in a zip file, in here:
Thanks for the file. I ran the .exe, but it says it still doesn't have that version of the compiler. When you go to select the version of the compiler you would like to use, it doesn't list version 7. I've tried putting the .exe file in the compiler folder as well. Is there a specific location you have to run the file from?
Sorry you need to put the file in this directory:
C:\campbellsci\lib\CR200Compilers
That is assuming you installed Loggernet with a working directory of c:\campbellsci\
When you go to load a CR2 file Loggernet will automatically look in that directory and compile the CR2 file to the necessary binary form during the download.
IF you want to do a test compile prior to this you can select the relevant compiler in the CRBasic editor under the Compile menu, with the "Pick CR200 compiler" option. It should list all the compilers in the directory above.
