Upgrade CR10x to CR1000

vai7strings Mar 15, 2010 06:20 PM

Dear Campbell Develop Engineer,

We want to upgrade our system,because our datalogger has broken, we used two AM416 to read 68 vibratingwire sensors, AM416 connected to CR10x through AVW4.[CR10X ->AVW4 ->two AM416 ->68 sensors
]
I want to change CR10X with CR1000, it's possible to do that? because i have tried to make a program using ShortCut, and there's not provide AVW4 to connect with two AM416. It's only provide AVW200 connnect to two AM16/32B. I only want to change datalogger, If it is possible to do that, how to input Zero reading / gauge factor in every single sensor? Any ideas?
Thanks before

LoggerNet software includes a program called Transformer, which will generate a CR1000 program from a CR10X program. You will need to check the program carefully to make sure everything runs correctly, but it does give you a good start on the new program.

Thanks Dana, but the problem is i dont have CR10X program before, because the program was created by someone else 18 years ago. I only want to change datalogger, should i upgrade all system it's mean i change AVW4 and AM416 with AVW200 and AM16/32 also?

If you connect to the logger you can upload the program in the CR10X to your computer then perform the transform. As there hasn't been support for the CR10X in some time, if the system goes down you'll be forced to do the update in a panic mode rather than a planned mode. You may want to consider the upgrade.

Just my 2 cents.

Your existing hardware should work fine with the CR1000.

If you have questions, you may want to contact the Campbell Scientific office that supports your area.
