Hello,
I am employing the hughes bgan 9502 as modem to get internet connection. Everything works properly, but my doubt is if I would want to get the syncronitation with the began modem because it has a gps, how can I do it?.
I am connecting the CR1000 with the modem by means of ethernet connection employing the NL115.
I have not done this. But it looks like you could use TCPOpen and Serial I/O commands to get the time using AT commands over an IP connection.

Again I have not done this and do not know the specifics.
A simpler alternative to trying to pull the time out of the BGAN is to use the NetworkTimeprotocol instruction in the logger to sync the time to an internet NTP server. (I don't think the 9502 acts as a server itself). This protocol will do some compensation for the latency of the link. This may end up being as accurate as pulling values from the 9502 as that process and the logger interpretaiton of it will have some delays anyway.
The 9502 falls back to NTP itself anyway when it does not have a GPS fix.
That would be easier!
