We own a wind sentry anemometer 03002-5 (wind speed - "pulsecount" instruction and wind direction), a FW3 thermocouple and a 3-cup wind sentry anemometer 03102VM (WS output: 0-5 Volt). We also own a CR3000 datalogger.
Which is the minimum scan rate we can use and the response time of these instruments?
Which could be the minimum scan rate in order to obtain good data?
For FW3 thermocouple I think that is 50 ms.
The response time of the thermocouple would be dependant to some extent on the air velocity at the measurement point.
The minimum scan rate should not be less than the response time of the sensor, with a little bit of calculation time for the logger also.
The pulsecount instruction would have to run each scan interval.
I would be more concerned with the accuracy of the anemometer than obtaining a minimum scan rate.
