Hi,
I have a problem with ftp upload. The logger I am measuring with is connected via a GPRS modem to the internet and shall upload every day the new data to our FTP Server. Unfortunately the logger only gets a private IP, so the FTP-Server can not establish the connection to the datalogger. According to my IT-specialist the way to solve this problem will be to switch the datalogger from active to passive mode.
Is that possible?
Yes using the action options of the ftpclient instruction. Note that the option note active and passive.
Hi Sam, thanks for the quick answer! Do you mean the PutGetOption?

Hi Sam,
just found the option! Great! Thanks a lot!
One more question to the Campbell Experts: In OS version CR1000.Std.21 it is not possible to set the passive mode for ftp upload, right?
Passive mode was added in CR1000.Std.16
I went to https://www.campbellsci.com/70_103 and used the "Search this product's revisions" search box to look for instances of the word "passive". The results were:
24 Improved FTPClient instruction to allow directory retrieval in ACTIVE & PASSIVE mode.
22 Changed FTPClient to not use up file handles when ACTIVE mode is set but the server returns an error since it requires PASSIVE mode.
16 Changed FTPClient() to optionally do Passive Mode. The option code 2 = Send Passive, 3 = Receive Passive.
