CR6 Datalogger TLS Certificate expired - cannot connect

Hi, 

We have a CR6 datalogger using TLS certificates to connect to an MQTT broker.  The other day, the certificates expired, now I am unable to connect using Device Configurator. I am receiving the "unexpected socket close", "10053", "software caused connection abort".  These loggers are far away and visiting impracticable, how do I recover or force a connection?

Update - seems to be linked to firmware version circa v12, newer firmware does seem to have same issue.
