Hello,
I am running LoggerNetAdmin 3.4.1 on a Dell Latitude D620 laptop and am currently editing a CR1000 program in the CRBasic Editor. I cannot access CRBasic help. When I hit "F1" for cursor assistance, nothing happens. Also when I attempt to access help through the menu (CRBasic Editor --> Help --> CRBasic Editor) (or Ctrl+F1), nothing happens.
I do not seem to have the same problem when using Edlog 32.
Thank you in advance for your assistance.
Help files for CRBasic are stored in C:\Campbellsci\Lib\CRBasicDefFiles. Make sure you have CHM files for all the dataloggers in that directory (this assumes you accepted the defaults during the installation).
If the CHMs are there, make sure you have the appropriate registry entries. The directory for the help files is defined by the keys found here:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Campbell Scientific\CRBasicEditor\RegisteredLoggers
Check the HTMLHelp1 (2,3,4...) entries and make sure they point to the directory in which your CHMs are stored.
Regards, Dana
Hi Dana,
It appears as though all of the CRBasic help files are in the directories you stated. However, I am restricted by corporate from viewing the Windows registry.
Would reinstalling LoggerNetAdmin help?
Thank you.

You can try uninstalling/reinstalling.
The uninstall will remove all the C:\Program File\CampbellSci files and most registry entries, but it will not delete anything in your (working) C:\Campbellsci\ directory.

Hi Dana,
With assistance from corporate IT, today I was able to view the Windows Registry on my laptop. For some reason, I was missing all of the "HTMLHelpX" entries from the registry. I manually entered each entry (X = 1,2,...,7) and restarted my computer.
All is well now. Do you have any idea why the Windows registry would have been missing these entries?
Thanks for your assistance.
I have no idea -- perhaps when you were installing LoggerNet you did not have user rights to edit the registry?
