GPRS Problems

JHolger Nov 22, 2011 05:33 PM

I am trying to establish a GPRS connection between our CR1000 datalogger and a server with an static Ip-adress and loggernet. However I have problems getting the fasttrack supreme on the gprs network. The equipment I use is

Wavecom fast track supreme
Sc-wmi interface - connected to the I/O port at a baudrate of 38.4 K Fixed
A sim card without sim lock code - the modem works in my phone and it makes the modem blink.

On the Deployment TCP/IP tab I have chosen Cs I/O ME, 0.0.0.0 IP address (because I have no fixed IP on the SIM card), user name and password is blank (because the airtime company require these to be blank.)I have tried: ATV1;AT+CGDCONT=1,"IP","websp";ATD*99***1#
ATV1;AT+CGDCONT=1,"IP","websp";ATD*99#
With modem responce CONNECTION
I have also tried:
AT+CGDCONT=1,"IP","websp";ATD*99***1#
With modem responce 21

+ websp is the APN servername (company is Callme - Denmark)

Two times I actually got a PPP and a ip adress in the TCP/IP info but it only lasted a very short period. This was after changing the baud rate of the Cs I/O ME to something else than 38.4K and back again. Both times I using the string:
ATV1;AT+CGDCONT=1,"IP","websp";ATD*99#

Does anyone have any clue about what is wrong here? And what I should do to get my variable IP

Regard Jørgen
