Can communicate with PakBus but not CR10X

JKayser Oct 27, 2011 03:10 PM

I am trying to communicate using PC200W 4.1 software with a CR10X. My system components are:

USB output on Dell laptop running Windows XP SP3

to a Belkin UBS/Serial converter (COM6)

to a SC32B interface

to the CR10X

When I run the Communications Test, I get the error:

"The attempt to communicate with CR10X failed, but a PakBus datalogger with a PakBus address of 1 was found."

Has anybody esle encountered this error? It appears to be either an error in my communicaion protocal to the datalogger, or a software error or lock within the CR10X.

I can access the CR10X using a CR10KD key pad and run a temperature test.

Thanks,

Try to connect by choosing the cr10x-pb from the list. The 10x appears to have a pakbus operating system. If you want to load an array based OS on the 10x you can pull one down from our website, under the support menu/downloads, Follow the instructions on the load os tab in device configuration utility when you choose the 10x from the list.

The suggestion to choose CR10X-PB from the list worked.

Thanks for you help.
