Control Stepper Motor with CR1000

SteveM Oct 11, 2011 07:26 PM

Hi All,

I am trying to control a simple stepper motor which will rotate 72 degrees in one second and then pause for one second.

I am fairly certain the CR1000 can handle this, but I am not sure what the recommended method to control a stepper motor. What kind of driver should I buy? I have found the sdm-cd8s should be able to provide voltage signals to the different winding. Is this correct.

Either way, any recommendations on how to power and control a stepper motor via the CR1000 would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Steve
