The messages that you describe are LoggerNet's report that its attempt to communicate with the local RF400 in order to "dial" it have failed. This could be to lack of power to the local radio, the local radio being connected to the wrong serial port, or the local radio being connected with a bad cable. The low level logs would show what, if anything, the radio would be returning.

I was able to connect using hyperterminal but I cannot connect with Device Configuration Utility
I am using SC12 Rev.01 cable


firmware version SW Version B4.424

maybe need update

two rf400s in default configuration should be able to speak to each other. i guess the real question is what are you trying to talk TO on either end. that would be useful in pointing you in the right direction
