Dear all,
We would like to switch off the power supply of our GPRS Modem, because even if it is in "power down" mode, it takes more than 20mA...
The SW12V is already in use to switch power supply for analog sensors.
We would like to use some kind of solid state relay and switch it with the control port of the cr1000 / cr850. The input resistance of the relay is 750Ohms what means that the current would be around 7mA.
What is the maximum current that the control port of cr1000/cr800 can source (without taking damage)?
thank you in advance,
Johannes
The control port max output current is 5 mA, but the port is current limited. The voltage will drop to 0 volts with an output of 5 mA. Figure 2.5 volts at 2.5 mA, and 0 mA at 5 Volts. You can't directly switch a relay that will need 7 mA.
We use a Crydom D1D07 relay.
This information helps us a lot,
thank you very much for your fast response!
Johannes
