CR3000 with multiple scan functions

Hi, I'm trying to write a program for my CR3000 that allows me to select multiple scan frequencies.

For example, I would like to have one scan frequency that reads some strain gauges at 1 scan per hour. Then I would like to be able to select a button from my custom menu that allows me to scan those gauges at 5 times a second.

I know how to control the custom menu, but I am wondering if I am able to have two separate scan functions (triggered by user input to the external keyboard) called during a single BeginProg...EndProg construct.
