Padding section to avoid the gray

TracyAU Aug 30, 2011 05:11 AM

Hi,

I have been padding each element to bring it down out of the gray smudge at the top.

I've put a 30 pixel pad on the top of all sections I've worked on today that fall into this area (every page).

Is this going to be removed because I just realized I'm going to have to do every page now and if you do get rid of that gradient I'll have to go back and redo all this other padding.

Can you please confirm one way or another whether this is staying or going so as not to duplicate unnecessarily?

Thanks,

Tracy

Tracy,

Last week I took the gray gradient at the top of those pages from 46 pixels down to 11 pixels. Visually it was a significant difference. I hesitate to remove all of the gradient because a bit of contrast helps to differentiate the header from the content below--more so than just the line.

You get your first white pixel 12 pixels down, so you can set your top padding wherever you want from there.
