Event calender

CSLMM Aug 24, 2011 03:02 PM

When creating a new event the calender widget doesn't work and the CMS changes our normal date format to US ie dd/mm/yy becomes mm/dd/yy

If I go to the events page how do I then edit the list that appears to delete what I don't want and add my own in?

I have sort of answered the second part of my question because I have just found my trade show event listed on the training calender and see there is an error in the help message relating to event type; it reads:
"Type
There are currently two types of events: 1- Training 2- Trade show Depending on the provided type, this event will show up in certain lists and admin locations."

I presume this should be the other way around - 1=trade show and 2= training?

Iain,

In the CMS, the dates are stored in a generic format that we can make display however we want when they are displayed in our pages. As you said, right now the CMS displays the US version, but we can change that to a more universal version.

You can enter a date multiple ways and the CMS will accept it. An easy one is: 10 jan 2012.

If you go to the Events table in the CMS, you can delete what's in there one by one. However, if you just want to start out with an empty table, let me know and we'll delete everything here and save you some time.

Let us know what we can do.

Yes, you are right about the error. 1 is trade show, 2 is training.

I think I will keep the US ones and decide later which to keep.

For a later time it would be nice to be able to show all the events we are attending around the world (trade shows in particular) but allow customers to filter - all training, all in France, all in July etc.
