The CM261 single-axis tracker pyranometer mount with adjustable plane simplifies the mounting of any pyranometer, ventilation unit, reference cell, or SPN1 to octagonal, round, and square single-axis torque tubes. The CM261 is a combination and simplification of the CM260 and CM265 to make ordering easier and usability friendlier. The bracket includes provisions for mounting the sensors and ventilation units at different heights, allowing the sensing element to be mounted at the same height as the solar modules.
The process of securely mounting and accurately leveling a pyranometer, ventilation unit, SPN1, or reference cell to a single-axis torque tube has traditionally been very difficult. The balance between tightly securing the sensor to the mounting bracket while perfectly leveling the sensor requires great time, skill, and fortitude. Without a secure fit, the sensor’s position will shift, and the sensor’s levelness will potentially be lost. The process is made even more difficult when the sensor is to be mounted on a single-axis torque tube. It is nearly impossible to assure the sensor is both level to the plane and in the right position relative to the height of the array. The CM261 solves both problems.
The CM261 is an adjustable-height, adjustable-plane mounting stand. The installation technician can now securely bolt the sensor to the mount. Then, using the sensor’s bubble level as a reference, the technician levels the plane of the mount by adjusting the built-in leveling bolts.
A dual pyranometer mount can be created using two of the CM261 and four of pn 34549.
